Recommendation – Percy Jackson

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

In The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson finds out he is a demigod (that is a person that one parent is a god and the other is not) and goes somewhere called Camp Half-Blood where he trains to fight monsters.

I think Percy Jackson is a good book because it is a very adventurous book and has lots of twist and turns. In each book he is usually on a different mission and fighting monsters with his friends. It is also very funny. The books are really long. It takes a while to finish the books so you don’t finish the books too fast or too slow.

Recommendation – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

If you like magic keep reading, if not I advise you to stop.

Harry Potter is only a baby when he gets delivered in a cradle to his Aunt and Uncles’ front step.  Now, his Aunt and Uncle are very, well, let’s just say harsh
and his cousin Dudley bullies him. But soon he gets invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  To get to Hogwarts he had to take the train at platform nine and three quarters that leaves at eleven o’clock, but nobody has ever heard of that platform how will he do it? He also has another problem: a dark wizard named Voldemort, who is after him. Harry had defeated him once but will he be able to do it again?

There were a lot of twists in the story and challenges that Harry has to face.  There are also a lot of interesting characters and kind of creepy characters.

I think that this book is great because it is about magic and I like magic stories.
Also the story is exiting, but real at the same time. Like I mentioned earlier there are a lot of twists in the plot and there are challenges Harry has to face.

If you enjoyed this post then go get Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at
Mrs. Dalloway’s Book Store on College Ave, or buy it now.
